Nail Power!

While browsing on Facebook I saw one of my friends, Nessa Escobar, post a picture of her newly painted nails (top left) and was just amazed at how incredibly detailed they are! I love how creative they are and the colors just flow so great together. I went on to her page, looked through her pictures and picked a few of my favorites to share with the rest of you guys! This just goes to show how big of a trend nail art is and I think it's awesome!(:

Super Sonic

About a few weeks ago, my Introduction to Beauty class took a little field trip to the MAC Pro Store and while they were getting a tour, a fellow classmate volunteered to get her makeup done. I really liked how it came out because of the bright neon colors of eyeliner like the hot pink and turquoise blue. I also loved the geometric lines the artist did with the eyeliner. It's a style and color I would definitely try for a night out with my girls! ;D Thank you for the pictures Lindsey(:

This is Halloween!

For all of you who are super stoked for Halloween and want to be something a little creepy, here you go! I love how realistic this looks and gets me so excited that my favorite holiday is just around the corner haha(: A little tip for those of you going to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, if you get to scared of the zombies and monsters that creep up behind you, stare at their detailed make up and think of the process behind it. You'll be impressed and you won't be as scared hahaha(:

We dine like Kings tonight!

Shown above is a model for the John Galliano runway show for Fashion Week 2012. The first thing that attracted me to this photo was the dramatic use of red in her wardrobe, on her lips and around her eyes. Red is one of my favorite colors so when I saw this, I was automatically drawn into it. The accents of gold on her head piece, in her hair, the inner corners of her eyes and the doll's hair was a great mix. I love the mix of gold and red, it reminds me of royalty. Therefore, I love this photograph.

Boom! In your face.

The colors of her lips and eyeliner are amazing! What I love about this photo is how her skin tone is so fair, it allows the colors of her lipstick and eyeliner to really pop out! Almost as if it were photo shopped in haha. I also like how the boldness of her eyeliner are mixed with a powder light blue eyeshadow which gives it a somewhat innocent look and feel to it. It's fantastic(:

"Maybe she's born with it"

I recently bought this Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Peachy Scene and I absolutely love it! It is the only lipstick I carry and it is in my purse at all times. This shade of lipstick looks somewhat natural but with a hint of pink which is awesome because I'm all for a pop of color ;D It leaves my lips full of color and keeps it moisturized for hours. If you're not a huge pink fan, Maybelline Color Sensational also comes in neutral, red and plum shades that vary for each type of skin tone. You can always find it at any drugstore like Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, etc. I highly recommend it!(:

Plum-tastic!

I'm a young girl with an Olive skin tone who absolutely loves plum lips. Not knowing which shade best fit my skin color, I went to Twitter and asked a few of my followers what their suggestions are. I got a few responses but were all amazing! There are definitely some shades and brands that I have not thought of trying but with their input, I am now considering it! Thank you to my followers who suggested MAC lipsticks, deep plum/maroon shades and Trendy Mauve by Lancome(:
